The Colorado Historical Society provides two ways to learn more about our historic markers:
1) Type in a keyword or name (for example “irrigation” or “Otto Mears”) or a location (a county or town name). The search will find any markers that match your request. The record will list marker title, installation date, marker type (bronze or wood for example), the text that appears on the marker, and more. Please note that text is currently available only for markers installed after 1995.
2) Click on the map to search for markers by county. This search will list all the markers in the county, along with information
on their location, date of installation, and other facts.
