The Sachs Foundation, in partnership with the Colorado Historical Societys African American Advisory Council, is accepting applications for its Clara Brown Internship Program. Internship term is 500 hours, with a stipend of
$5,000.
The intern will spend approximately 200 hours working in a variety of museum divisions including: exhibition development; curating and researching the collections; collections management and education programming. The other 300 hours will be dedicated to a special project, resulting in a presentation and project summary. The interns educational background, interests, work experience, and the museums divisions needs will determine the project and specific duties.
The internship is open to African American applicants enrolled in an accredited university or college, with at least 5 years of Colorado residency. Candidates with training in history, art history, education, and other areas of the humanities are eligible. Familiarity with office procedures and computer skills are necessary.
