The film and video department of the Colorado Historical Society
seeks undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate interns with interests
in film history, media history, curatorship, and collection management.
In collaboration with curatorial staff, qualified interns develop
work plans tailored to their individual needs and interests. Most
internships focus on the arrangement, indexing, and storage of specific
film or video collections; programs in exhibition development, research,
preservation, and cataloging are also possible.
Prospective interns come from a variety of academic fields, including
American studies, anthropology, archaeology, art history, film studies,
fine arts, geography, history, journalism, sociology, and others.
Although specific requirements may vary, each intern is expected
to contribute a minimum of one hundred hours to his or her project
during each academic term.
