Examine the art and printed word of the Bohemian/Beat scene in Denver, focusing on the underground presses/book stores from 1965 to 1987. The exhibit, curated by Steve Wilson and Paul Harbaugh, will highlight original cover art, paintings, poetry, publications and events documenting the seminal role Denver played, both geographically and intellectually, within the continuing evolution of the counter culture in America. Included in the exhibition will be works gathered from across the country by artists Saul White, John Fish, Steve Wilson, Angelo di Benedetto, Tony Scibella, Tom Fowler, Alfred Kleyhauer, Frank Rios, and Marcia Ward and others significant to the scene.
