Enjoy a distinctive house museum. Enter one of Denver's great historic homes, built in 1883 by Rocky Mountain News publisher Williams Byers and sold in 1889 to the family of William Gray Evans, an officer of the Denver Tramway Company. Also, a short film features the careers of these two pioneer Denver families and the city they built.

Guided tours take visitors through the elegant residence, richly filled with original Evans family furnishings. Tours at approximately 11 a.m.,
12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m daily. Please note tour start times may vary to accommodate school programs or tours with reservations. Contact the museum for group rates and more information.

Byers-Evans House Gallery - Admission is free

This comprehensive exhibition of photographs by legendary Colorado photographer Laura Gilpin (1891-1979), consists of over 40 platinum and silver prints spanning Gilpin’s six decades as an artist in the American Southwest.  Images from all periods of her career will be on display, including rare examples of her pictorial period and her exemplary documentation of the Navajo during the depression years and later, a demographic overlooked by the WPA photographers of the time.
