& Rio Grande Western Railroad Collection
The photographic materials in the Denver & Rio Grande Western
Railroad Collection are from the corporate photo archives and were
generated between 1871 and 1952. The collection consists of promotional
material of areas which the D&RG Railroad served. Included in the
collection are images of most towns, settlements, junctions and
sidings on the D&RG routes, including many agriculture, mining,
industrial and scenic views of Colorado.
The Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad Photography Collection
was transferred from the Colorado Division of State Archives to
the Society's care in 1964.
The collection contains:
