Microfilm Reel Duplication

The Colorado Historical Society collects and preserves early as well as current newspapers published in Colorado. Most newspapers are available in microfilm format.

Duplicate 35mm. positive microfilm reels may be ordered through the library. Contact a librarian for information on which titles and dates are available for duplication. Not all titles in the library collections can de duplicated.

Contact a librarian for information on which titles and dates are available for duplication. Records of many of our newspaper titles are included in the online catalog.

Send a written order to the library via mail, fax or e-mail.

Cost is U.S. $75.00 per reel, plus applicable taxes and shipping charges. Prepayment is required. Forms of payment accepted are check, money order, VISA, MC, AE, Discover.

Standing orders may be placed for microfilm of current newspapers; duplicate reels will be billed and shipped as newly microfilmed reels become available.  Payment must be received before order is shipped. Standing order duplicate reels cost $ 60.00 each.

Usual delivery time for microfilm orders is 6 to 8 weeks. Orders can be shipped through the Colorado courier system or by U.S. P. S.
