Parris Railroad Collection

These nitrate negatives are in cold storage.  They were donated in 1971 by Mr. Parris, who obtained them from the Railroad Negative Exchange.  The negatives deal with the following railroads:  Denver, Leadville & Gunnison RR; Crystal River & San Juan RR; Denver, Boulder & Western RR; Florence and Cripple Creek RR; Great Western RR; Silverton Northern RR; San Luis Valley Southern RR; Rio Grande Southern RR; Uintah RR; Denver, South Park & Pacific RR; Denver & Salt Lake RR; Colorado Springs & Cripple Creek RR; Denver, Laramie & Northwestern RR; Colorado Midland RR; Midland Terminal RR.

These negatives correspond to the prints in the Porter Waring Family Boxed Collection.  Subjects include family photos, the Porter Hospital, and the Webb Waring Institute.

 Reynolds, A. E. Collection 
Albert E. Reynolds came to Fort Lyons, Colo. in 1860. He was an Indian trader and owned a large dry goods store in Lake City.
