Peak Collection: 87-52. (see also motion picture films)
This collection of glass negatives is from the Peak Antiques store
and was donated by Paul Peak Jr. in 1987. Subjects include the Peak
family, family outings and picnics, and photos concerning Frank
J. Wolf, a printer who may have owned The Monitor or the
South Side Monitor newspaper. 33 4 X 5 plates & film negatives
Price, C. S. Collection: The Price Collection consists of
11 X 14 glass negatives dealing with the following subjects: fishing
rods, Denver buildings, State Museum building, City Park, Cheesman
Park, the Denver Post Building and the Isis Theater. The negatives
were donated by the Georgetown Historical Society in 1972. 24 11X14

Roach, Otto Collection: (see film negative collection) Otto
Roach was a professional photographer in Denver working for the
Denver Commercial Photo Co. until 1935 when he opened his own studio
which he operated until 1940. 15 - 5X7 plates, 16 - 8X10 plates
Schomburg, T. A. Collection: (some BPF portraits may exist
in the Aultman Collection, See Aultman Index) Theodore A. Schomburg
was an officer of the Maxwell Land Grant Company in New Mexico and
gained his photographic knowledge when he photographed most of the
Maxwell Company holdings. He moved to Trinidad in 1902 where he
operated a successful timber business. Schomberg then moved to Denver
where he became the Vice President of the Rocky Mountain Timber
Company in 1908. He resided at 1856 Colorado Blvd. From 1910 until
1935 Schomburg was the President of the Continental Tie & Lumber
Company. Throughout his life he continued to photograph various
subjects as an amateur. His family included his wife Lulu M. and
their son Thomas W. Schomburg. 13 4X5 plates, 100 5X7 plates, 2

Weirick Collection: 87-53. This collection consists of glass
negatives and copy prints possibly made by George Manly Weirick.
The collection was donated by Barbara Martinson in 1987. Subjects
include family photographs and outings, skiing, and the lumber industry.

WPA Collection: (see film negatives) The WPA negatives were
taken as part of the recovery programs during the Depression, c.1932
- 1940. In addition to the legitimate WPA material, the program
workers also collected much negative material which the Society
had apparently been accumulating since the time of Jerome C. Smiley.
These negatives were given WPA numbers and integrated into the collection.

QG Negatives: Most of the negatives with "QG" numbers were
in envelopes with a "D&RG Collection" stamp and they were discovered
to be photographs by George Beam. They were filed at the end of
the Beam Collection and the QG numbers were left on them. Five other
"QG" plates were not by Beam and were filed with the miscellaneous
glass negatives. Their numbers and subjects are: QG 19,105 NF -

QG 22,658 BPF-Henderson Family QG 22,659 Transportation-Wagons
