A Collection of the
The Denver, Cripple Creek and Southwestern Railroad Company was formed in 1896 for the purpose of running a line from Denver through Cripple Creek, Victor, and Silver Cliff, on through to New Mexico and Arizona. Colorado & Southern bought the railroad’s franchise in 1899 for use as the basis of a line built in 1902 from South Platte to Nighthawk.
