Newspapers  The Society has the largest collection of Colorado newspapers available anywhere. The collection contains over 2600 microfilmed newspaper titles from towns across the state. Over 250 currently published newspapers are also available.  Indexes are not available for most newspapers.

Catalog  The online catalog includes records of the Colorado Historical Society book, manuscript, serials and map collections:

Books and printed indexes   Includes biographies, family histories, county and town histories, brand books, Colorado Cemetery index, and a very few cemetery and newspaper obituary indexes.

Officials of Denver and of Colorado 1858-1933. Lists officials, offices held and dates of service. Published 1934. Includes index.

Portrait and Biography Index by Henrietta Bromwell (5 volumes). Alphabetical listing of prominent people in Colorado up to 1933. Provides citations to newspaper articles and reference books.

Real Pioneers of Colorado by Maria Davies McGrath, 1934. Short biographical sketches arranged alphabetically.

Manuscript collections  Search for personal papers of individuals and organization records (for example: DAR, Polish club of Denver, Society of Colorado Pioneers, Sons of the American Revolution, Sons of Colorado, Grand Army of the Republic (Colorado & Wyoming). Business records may include employee publications and rosters.
