Día de los Niños (Day of the Children)
April 27, noon to 4:00 p.m.
Enjoy free admission and family-friendly programming that emphasizes art and Latino heritage.  Tours will be directed towards the children visiting the house.  There will be period hats for boys and girls, vests, aprons similar to what the family's maids would have worn, and many other "costumes" for our young visitors to wear during their tours.  Throughout the rooms of the house, hands-on objects from the past will be available for children to handle, look through, crank, pump, or listen to.  These items include a phonograph, stereoscope, coffee grinder, typewriter, opera glasses, carpet sweeper, all of which are from the interpretive period of the house, 1912 to 1924!  Children will also craft a bookmark from leather during their visit. Activities and entertainment will also be provided at the Denver Art Museum, the Denver Public Library, and the Colorado History Museum.

Mother's Day Tea and Tour
May 11 , 1:30 to 3:00 p.m.
Treat mom and friends to a special day during the Byers-Evans House Museum Tea and Tour.  Visitors will enjoy a tour of the historic Denver landmark, and learn about the history of the Byers and Evans families.  The tour will be followed by a tea which includes scones, fruit, small sandwiches, desserts and of course, tea.  Cost: $23.00 adults, $15.00 children 6-16, $18.00 CHS members. Guided House Tours
Tuesday through Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  
Tours at approximately 11:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m daily. Please note tour start times may vary to accomodate school programs or tours with reservations. Call 303/620-4933 for special tour reservations or more information..

An Afternoon Into The Past School Program
Designed for 3rd and 4th grade classes studying Denver or Colorado history, students are costumed and role-play one of 18 people connected to the Evans house in the year 1918. Students receive an identification card with a photograph and a biography of their character in advance of their visit. As they tour the rooms of the house, each student tells the others something about their character and does a hands-on activity from the past.
