          General Information

The Trinidad History Museum complex is open every day, including weekends and holidays, from May 1–September 30. (From October 1–April 30, please call the museum in advance for hours.). Groups are welcome and event rentals are available. Call (719) 846-7217.

Information Center

The Information Center has brochures about the area's six other museums, the Santa Fe National Historic Trail, the Scenic Highway of Legends, other local attractions, and special events. There is also information about lodging, dining, and shopping.

The Information Center is open daily, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Location

Trinidad is conveniently located on I-25, just 200 miles from both Denver and Santa Fe. Southbound Traffic: take Exit #15 (Kit Carson Trail); head east until you reach Highways 160/350; turn right at the stop sign; the museum is 1½ miles from the intersection, on your left. Northbound Traffic: take Exit #13-B (Main Street) and go straight; the museum is ½ mile from the yield sign at the bottom of the exit ramp. The museum complex is on your right, at 312 East Main, across from the post office.

On-street parking is available throughout the area.

Seniors (65+): $5.00
Children (Ages 6-16): $3.00
Children (5 and Under): Free
Colorado Historical Society members: Free

Open Monday through Saturday
Baca-Bloom Heritage Gardens 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Museums and Bookstore 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Closed Sundays and holidays

October 1 through April 30
Open Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The Santa Fe Trail Museum is open pending staff availability.

Rental Information

The gardens surrounding the 1882 Bloom Mansion are available for weddings, receptions and other events. See About CHS - Rent a Museum .
