Celebrate the 100th Birthday Of
The Governor’s Residence at the Boettcher Mansion!
Join the Governor and Mrs. Ritter in celebrating the centennial of the Governor’s Residence. History Colorado and the Volunteers of the Colorado Historical Society will be hosting free tours, family events and lectures throughout the summer to commemorate this historic event.
Free Summer Tours
Tuesdays in June and July, plus August 5 and 12, 1 – 3 p.m. (Docent-led tours)
Saturdays in June and July, plus August 2, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. (Open house format)
This beautiful historic home was built in 1908 by the family of Walter Cheesman. Tour the home and learn how it became the Governor’s residence, who has lived there and what were their contributions to Colorado. See the chandelier which once hung in the White House. Tours are free. No reservations are accepted. Tours are filled on a first come, first served basis.
Located on the corner of 8th and Logan (400 East Eighth Avenue) in Denver. Parking is available in the lot across the street to the west.

School Tours

children are welcome to visit the Governor's Residence on the first
three Tuesdays of May 2008 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Reservations
for these tours are required and should be made by contacting the
Colorado Historical Society at 303/866-3682.
