Walking Tour of Curtis Park Historic District
Curtis Park is Denver’s oldest residential neighborhood. Its remarkable collection of Victorian-era houses was built in the boom period following the arrival of the railroad in 1870, largely between 1875 and 1890. Led by resident and historian Bill West, our walking tour will focus on both the history of the area and the architectural styles popular during the late nineteenth century. If you haven’t taken a walk in Curtis Park lately, come take a look at the “new” urban neighborhood and its historic past.
When: Saturday, October 9, 1 to 3 p.m.
Cost: $15 members, $20 nonmembers
Reservations are necessary and can be made by calling 303/866-4686.
