Packed with artifacts and activities, our history kits bring part of the museum to your school. Reserve one or all of the kits and watch the excitement of discovery on your students' faces.

Cliff Dwellers Kit
Playing the role of archaeologists, students "excavate" prehistoric artifacts buried in sand. Materials include excavating tools and a teacher's guide with back-ground information, detailed instructions, and activities.

Mountain Man Kit
Colorado's fur trade comes to life as students explore this exceptionally colorful era. This kit includes artifacts, photos, 30 information cards, 30 activities, and much more.

Colorado Miners Kit
Experience the booms and busts of mining in Colorado, from the Spanish explorers to the present. Like the Mountain Man Kit, the Colorado Miners Kit contains artifacts, photos, a board game, a cassette tape of stories and music, 30 information cards, and 30 activities to captivate your students.

Grandmother Trunks
The objects in these four different trunks bring a touch of everyday life at the turn of the century to your students. Teacher's guides and suggested activities are included. Choose one or all of these trunks: Indian Trunk ~ Hispanic Trunk ~ African-American Trunk ~ Japanese Trunk

arowNEW! BOOM OR BUST: A Denver Artifact Kit
Experience the Gold Rush, Woman's Suffrage, WWII, and other exciting times in Denver's colorful history.  This kit includes artifacts, photos, biographies,  a teacher’s manual with lesson plans, and much more! This artifact kit was made possible through a generous grant from the Boeing-Jeppesen Corporation.

The Denver trunk only available FREE  to Denver Public Schools during the 2009-2010 school year. It will be available during the 2010-2011 school year to all schools for the regular kit fee.

Period of Check Out: One week for all except the Mountain Man Kit and the Mining Kit, which are two weeks. Kits are checked out on Wednesdays.

Cost: $15 per kit plus return postage (We pay for postage to your school.)

Evaluation Forms: are included with every trunk and must be filled out by the teacher to check out additional trunks in the future.
