Moving Day: Colorado's Migration Story explores the movement of people across Colorado from pre-history to 1870. Students become "experts" on one of the following cultural groups:
-Ancient Puebloans
-Utes
-Cheyenne and Arapaho
-Hispanos
-Fur Traders
-Miners
During the 45-60 minute program, students explore objects, photographs and clues as they walk across a large floor map of Colorado, discussing the "footprint" each of these groups left on the state.
Pre-visit material will prepare students for this journey, while post-visit material will synthesize and expand their knowledge.
